Hello.
I AM A JOURNALIST.
History, but not by the victors

"I was continually impressed with Yeonseung's persistence and dedication to the subjects of her Master's Project on what it's like to be homeless in the winter in New York City.
Her sources were not sitting at desks, taking phone calls or answering emails. She had to go out into the streets of the city and find them, and persuade them to talk to her.
It was my privilege to work with a student so dedicated, and so able to see the humanity in the faces of people most New Yorkers don't even notice."
Mary E. Schoonmaker , Columbia Journalism School Professor
Why I love being a journalist
I meet inspiring people every day. I hear their stories, their plights, and their strength in overcoming them. People entrust me to retell their lives and it's not a responsibility that I take lightly.
I am a passionate storyteller with nearly 7 years of experience. Currently a multimedia journalist at ABC4, I also worked at the Pulitzer-winning paper of the Salt Lake Tribune as a reporting fellow and at South Korea's premier international broadcast, Arirang TV, as a reporter.
I also graduated from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in 2024, where I received honors for my master's thesis that focused on New York City homelessness.
